He worked as an Instrumentation and Controls Designer for 17 years for various firms and companies in the Chemical manufacturing and Petroleum Refining Industry. The ups and downs of those markets encouraged him to look towards his dreams of working with 3D Animation and Game Development.
After experiencing a work force reduction in January of 2010, he decided to go back to school, focusing on 3D Animation and Game Art. He also continued in his erstwhile life vocations of video game modification and writing a novel series centered on a fictional universe he has created.
Without employment, and looking critically at how he spent the last 17 years of my life, he was forced to decide how the rest of his life would be spent and began a journey of reeducation.
It hasn't been easy, as he has been married for 18 years, and has five children. If that wasn't enough, each one of his children has some issue which challenges them in their everyday life, and challenges his skills as a father and husband. Two of his children, two boys are diagnosed with Autism, and through them he learned about Asperger's syndrome, of which he is diagnosed.
These challenges though will not prevent him from pursuing his dreams, and foster those of his children. He has always taught his children to do something they love, to follow their passion, and in that way they can bless the world with their gifts, therefore, he is now able to show them an example in doing it himself. The journey every day becomes more exciting as he gets closer to graduating.
